Ethics: Roles and Boundaries (3 CE)

This workshop will be lively group discussion about boundaries and roles as a massage professional. It is an opportunity for massage therapists to share and discuss specific ethical scenarios that arise in their practice and receive professional feedback and support.

In this discussion, the instructor will offer her years of experience in addition to pulling from the experience of other therapists in attendance to participants in gaining clarity for how to move forward with challenging situations.  In this course you will:

  • Address ethical roles and boundaries for massage therapists

  • Introduce a six step resolution to evaluate ethical situations

  • Provide a peer support environment for therapist to discuss and mentor each other on specific ethical issues that arise in a massage practice

By creating a very safe and supportive environment, as well as a specific structure to work with different scenarios, this class will help each individual go back to their life outside the class and have the tools to know how to appropriately and effectively evaluate ethical situations.
